 The Walking Bear Lodge’s
soaring timber frame ceilings, real log walls, gleaming
wide-planked wood floors, log railings, timber steps,
and native stone covered, floor to ceiling fireplaces
were inspired by the historic grand lodges of our
national parks. It is over 5000 square feet with a 50
foot long covered front porch. The interior has all the
comforts and amenities of a Montana style estate.
The two large, fully stocked and high end kitchens makes
it easy to have more then one family together with
plenty of private spaces and open areas. The custom
decorated bedrooms are well appointed with luxurious
bedding that feels as inviting as it looks. The hot tub
and barbeque areas lend themselves to plenty of outdoor
fun and relaxation.
The Walking Bear Lodge can be divided into two complete
self- contained living areas.
The Honeycomb Suite has one King Bedroom, one Queen
Bedroom and two bathrooms. The living room has a pull
out queen-sized bed making it comfortable for up to 6
people. It has its own Full Kitchen, Dining and Living
Room.
The Beargrass Suite has three bedrooms. One deluxe King
suite, a double Queen room and our delightful “bunk
room” that has six single beds. The Beargrass Suite
sleeps 12 comfortably. It also has a full kitchen,
living room, dining room, laundry room and three full
bathrooms.
There are many intimate spaces and features that make this
lodge a dream vacation home. It has four flat screen
TV’s, dvd player’s, a computer as well as wireless
internet, front loading washer and dryer, a cappuccino
maker, and all the cookware you will need to cook a top
rate meal of your hearts desire. The poured concrete
walk ways surround a lush lawn that is perfect for
running, playing, or just laying in the sun.&nb sp;
There are several games and outdoor toys to keep the fun
going all day. There are tables and chairs surrounding
the grill for great outside dining or just enjoying
gazing at the stars from the hot tub. Each. There are 4
fireplaces, some for setting that romantic feel in the
bedrooms, others for that ski lodge feeling. The showers
are over-sized with high end fixtures, custom tile work,
and granite tops.
